The Coop Makes Strategic Hires for Growth

SEATTLE, WA, August 4, 2015 – The Coop, a licensed consumer products company specializing in pop-culture and pet, announces several new strategic hires that will position the company for future growth.

Joining The Coop in key positions are Chris Hegerfeld, VP of Licensing & Marketing; Joe Smith, CFO; Stacy Longstreet, Sr. Product Director; and Aloka Bhatt, Director of Sourcing.

Chris Hegerfeld brings contract negotiation, license management and product marketing skills to The Coop; most recently from Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company, makers of Dickies branded apparel and accessories, where he was Sr. Director of International Sales and Worldwide Licensing.

Joe Smith brings strong commercial finance skills to The Coop; most recently as VP, Commercial Lending at Coastal Bank. Joe managed, and grew, a large portfolio of small and mid-sized businesses in the service and manufacturing industries.

Stacy Longstreet joins The Coop fresh off her tenure at WETA Workshop, where she was highly successful as Product Development Director. While at WETA, she managed the development of new products for a range of high profile IPs including The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and DOTA2.

Aloka Bhatt was most recently with Alleson Athletic, makers of Institutional Uniforms and Spirit Wear and replica major league jerseys, as their Director of Global Sourcing. She will add her strong PLM and price negotiation skills to The Coop’s vendors.
